10 Weeks..

Only 10 weeks left ;)..I am so glad..I am beyond ready for this little man to be here! Well I am ready for him to be here..but that's about all that's ready! This weekend I am going to try and finish up the room..still have not got a mattress yet? I mean does he really need one? ha..This week has been a whirlwind, Monday Michael and I headed back to Paducah for a funeral on Tuesday, his great-grandmother Irene Sullivan passed away, she was 97. We know that she is in a better place now, and that she was a Christian. We were glad to get to see everyone though even it if was for a short time! We also had our 2nd week of Honeybees!! Michael and I love Honeybees..(in case you don't know what it is, it's 2 year olds class on Wednesday night at church), it's the start of the awana program..last night we had 14..yes 14 two year olds in one room..let me say they were FANTASTIC! We couldn't have asked for a better group of kids! At Highview, we've also started eating dinner before services on Wed. night! It's been so much fun the past two weeks to get to mingle and get to know people better. And the food is amazing! We are looking forward to a relaxing weekend and hanging out with some friends.Oh and the UofL/UK football game ;) ( GO CATS!) Pregnancy wise..everything is still going ok! I am still exhausted each day..and a little insomnia still at night..but it's going to be all worth it in the end!~MM

11 WEEKS TO GO!

I'm at the 11 week mark..so exciting! I just got the news back that my diabetes test was fine..so I don't have diabetes..BUT..the anemia test..not so good..I am anemic and have to start taking iron pills..which might be why I've been super duper tired lately,leg cramping,insomnia,and the craving for ICE..I was also anemic in high school and some of college..so it's not a huge surprise. I've been working on Jack's room little by little..last night we had our first night of Honeybees and it was so great! We are gearing up for UK Football season in our household..as many of you know Mr.Mike is a HUGE KENTUCKY fan..and we are hoping for a good year for football! Here are some pics from last weekends gun shoot and my family: This is from last years KY/Louisville game..Michael and I were actually there..and it was so intense..we also left for Disney World the next day ;) Let's hope for another UK win...

Doctors Appt.!

Today I went to the Doc for my normal appointment and glucose test. The drink I had to drink wasn't terrible..but when she told me I had 5 minutes to drink it I thought I might be in trouble..luckily with some prayer I made it through! (If you know me, you know that I am the pickiest person alive..and I could NEVER be on Fear Factor) I chugged it down and waited until it was time to get my blood taken..I should get the results in a few days! Let's hope for passing! I then went to my normal appointment..it was quick and easy..I am measuring great..and Jack's little heartbeat is perfect!! I LOVE going to the Dr. and hearing his heartbeat..it's so re-assuring that everything is OK! I gained 8 more pounds (oh yeah)..so that puts me at a total of 15 pounds gained so far. She is wanting me to start exercising b/c of the sleep problems I am having..she said that it will help. So let's pray for some energy to help me do that! I love going for walks, so I am going to start doing that again..and just make myself go..I also want to run in the mini-marathon next April for Derby..so that might help my training for that go better ;) I go back to the Doc in 3 weeks!! We are getting so close!

Where Did Summer Go?

Weeks to Go!! WOW!!!

Time is sure flying here in the Murphy household..Jack's nursery is coming along well..I'm waiting on a few more things to arrive before I get the finishing touches on it..and I don't have a mattress for his crib yet..it seems that I have forgotten to get that ;) This week has been a great one!! It feels like it's going so fast..usually this time of the year I am so sad b/c summer is over..and my tan is going to fade..and no more going to the pool..and this year I don't even care b/c I know that with fall comes Jack!! Oh..and I do love fall..I love pumpkins,mums, Halloween..haha that makes me very excited too!! Last weekend I went in Garden Ridge (my favorite store) and they had Christmas trees up and decorations..I was so excited!! I asked Michael if I could go ahead and put up the tree for this year..and he said no..I always start asking early haha..it's just so hard to wait until after Thanksgiving ;) Wow..this is so not going anywhere..I go back to the doctor this Tues. it's been 5 weeks since I've been so I am very anxious to go, I also am doing the glucose test this time to..pray for me that I can drink the drink..I decided this week to post some pics of my mom and dad..I've been getting a little homesick lately..so I pull out the photos ..everyone says I looks just like my mom..but my dad and I favor alot as well..So this is my mom and I..we are very close..we talk at least 3 times a day on the phone.and now that she has facebook..we talk ever more..I'm very proud of her and she has been the best mom ever..she is happily married to my step-dad Mike..I have a sister Audrie who lives with her..Audrie is 15...it's a fun life ;) Then my dad and I on the happiest day ever ;)..He looks a little sad in the picture though..I wonder why..my Dad is so great..he's got this fun loving spirit to him..my Dad is also happily involved with his fiance Courtney..she has 2 kids whom I LOVE..they are so cute..and my brother Tyler who is 18, also lives with them.. So,that is my parents..that I love so much..they are both completely different but I like that about them..I can't wait to see what Jack's personality is like..I will update after my Doc's appt on Tues..Also my grandparents and Aunt and Uncle and Cousin are coming up this weekend!! So exciting!~MM

13 WEEKS LEFT!!!

Wow, Only 13 weeks left in this pregnancy...it's going by so fast..I have slowly been working on Jack's room..and I realized yesterday it looks like a tornado came through it..so I am being very strict now about getting it ready for him to arrive ;) This is one of the letters that I am making to hang on the wall..it will be so cute when I finish! This past week has been crazy, I had food poisoning..which we don't know what I got it from..but finally that is over..and I feel back to normal! My friend Erin drove all the way up from Paducah to go to dinner and then to the movies to see Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants 2!! The movie was very good, but not as good as I thought it would be..after reading all the books. Books are definitely better! It's been a great week so far, and I am looking forward to the this weekend ;)

And It's August!

WEEKS TO GO!!

Where did the summer go? I cannot believe that it's already August 4th. And with August comes the arrival of the final trimester!! So exciting!! I actually started working on Jack's room this weekend, it looks like a bomb hit it..there is stuff everywhere..I got in the cutest wooden letters today that spell out Jack..I'm going to paint them and hang them on the wall..I love doing stuff like that..to bad I have -0- energy for that right now ;( I cannot believe that in 13 weeks I will hopefully be holding Mr.Jack in my arms ;) I am getting sooo anxious..but I guess that is okay ;)As for the week, it's going to be an exciting one! My friend Erin is coming up from Paducah, so we can go see Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2..I know, we are nerds ;) But it will be fun, I am off to the doctor right now, b/c this weekend I have been having some stomach problems ;( Let's pray that it isn't anything bad!
