Hi-Ho Hi-Ho, Only 7 Weeks To Go!

33 Weeks along..only 7 to go..wow it's hard to believe that in 7 weeks (or less ;) ) I will be holding my son..Michael and I are so excited..pregnancy is going great..despite the fact that I can walk to the bathroom to the living room and feel like I've hiked a mountain haha..But that's okay..I will rest while I can! I finally returned back to work after not having power here..it's been soo busy though! I go back to the doctor next week for my 34 week check-up...then it will start getting very serious at each appointment I go to..of course you know I am hoping for a Halloween baby..I want to dress him up in a little pumpkin outfit ;) My Grandaddy Jack has contacted my Grandmother from Africa and all is going great down there..I can't wait to hear all about his trip! It's been and continues to be a crazy week here in Louisville, many of our friends and family up here are still without power..going on day 5...I hear that more gifts for Jack continue to pour in down there in Paducah..and let me say once again, we are so blessed to have great friends and family. Very Thankful! I guess you are wondering why there is a picture of Disney/Cinderella on this post..I love Disney World..Michael and I are disney fanatics..and so is his WHOLE family..this trip home Granmom Wolfe surprised us with the news that we would all be going once again next year to Disney World as a family!! We are so excited..I can't believe though that when we go next year Jack will be almost one!! That seems so weird! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week..and we are praying for everyone's power to come back on..Shalom!~MM

The most unusual Sunday ever..

Well we are surviving here in Louisville...Hurricane Ike literally "blew us away"...This past weekend we traveled to Paducah, to what was going to be a relaxing weekend and my baby shower..Sunday morning I woke up to the wind howling..and I thought nothing of it..it was time to get ready for church and that is when the lights started flickering..I jumped in the shower to try and get ready before we lost power..but it was to late..Paducah had lost power as the winds picked up..I was still optimistic by this point about my shower that afternoon..I just knew the power would be back up and running...as we sat at Grandmom's eating breakfast we watched about EVERY tree in their back yard fall to the ground..you would hear a big "crack" and then try to pick which tree was going to fall..About noon I realized that the shower probably wasn't going to happen..I hadn't slept well all weekend..and that's when the hormones took over..I lost it..I haven't been that upset in a long time..luckily my husband is amazing and talked some sense into me, and made me realize that alot of people aren't as lucky as we are..which is very true..to be honest I wasn't that upset I am usually very patient and know that things will work out..I am def. blaming this meltdown on pregnancy haha..My great-grandmother who is 91..had power at her house, which is less than a mile from the church where the shower was to take place...so my mom and grandmother did a wonderful job of getting things set up down there..and everything fell into place! I didn't really get to socialize alot with anyone..but I am so blessed that almost 60 people stopped by to give me their gift and wish us the best of luck..that is what I love so much about people in Paducah..I was so overwhelmed by everyone's generosity and love..Thank you so much for making it a great day, despite the 75mph winds that had just whipped through! I Love You All..

My Crafty Friend..

Since I won't be able to attend the Whitefield Arts & Craft Fair..I thought I would put a post on here about my crafty friend Rachel..she makes the CUTEST canvas paintings..I just love them..I am still trying to decide which one I want (aka need) haha..Go check them out, they would make great Christmas gifts or Birthday gifts!!! I am picturing one in Jack's room already ;)....

32 Weeks Down..8 To Go...

This week has been a whirl-wind..This past weekend we went to the UK game with my cousin Brittany and her boyfriend Ryan..we had a blast..it was alot of walking but it was great fun! It was amazing how many times Michael decided that we should change Jack's name..I just don't think Dickey Lyons Jr is a good name for my son ;) or Randall Cobb..(they are UK players)..

On Wednesday I had my 32 week check-up and everything was great..I heard the heartbeat,measured good..and then the Dr. was like I think we need to do another ultrasound..which of course got me worried! So, Michael and I went in today for an ultrasound..which showed that he was doing just fine and was healthy. He was weighing 4 pounds,4 ounces according to the machine...so crazy..thanks for all the prayer! This weekend we are heading back to Paducah for a baby shower! I am so ready to go and see my family and friends..

On a side note..My grandfather made it safely to Africa (Tanzania), and is there on a mission trip! Please keep him in your prayers as him and the other members of Rosebower will be there for the next 2 weeks!!

Since this is 9/11..I can't help to remember exactly what I was doing 7 years ago today..my friend Erin and I rode to college together b/c we had all the same classes..and I was waiting on her to come pick me up..I called her and was like turn on your TV b/c I was watching the Today show..I remember being scared and in shock..

9 Weeks..Oh Yeah!!

So..this is my new addiction..it's called a Wordle..you can make the cutest things from it! I have so far made cards..and I am working on making other things..I am also addicted to FotoFlexer.. I made this on it..

We are getting very excited in our house! We have 9 weeks left until our little baby boy is here! I cannot wait! Next weekend we are going to Paducah for our baby shower, it is going to be so fun. I can't wait to get little baby stuff..it makes me so excited! For some reason I know about 9 other women right now who are pregnant with boys! Must be the year of the boy or something! Michael and I enjoyed Labor Day weekend but relaxing and not doing a whole lot..I took in few final days at the pool with my friend Diana and her daughter Lana..we had a great time and we didn't get burnt ;) Sunday we enjoyed watching the UK/UofL game..which might I say was Awesome! This weekend we are going to the UK game at Lexington with my cousin Brittany and her boyfriend Ryan! We just can't wait..we enjoy going to the games together.

As for Mr.Jack he's doing great in there..I go back next week for a checkup! I feel like I have gained 10 pounds haha..so we shall see! Other than that he's still moving quite a bit, I think he is running out of room though! I will update with more when I know it..MM
