Future Driver?

It's been a bit since I've updated ( I know I know..trying to do better ;) We have been super busy trying to wind down from the busyness of summer! Michael & Jordan went to the Indy Nascar Race on Sunday and Michael brought Jack back some gifts..

I've looked at this picture at least 50 times..I just can't get over the fact that God has lent this precious boy to us for a time..I love watching him learn new things and just being a Mom..right now I love my life..I love my new job, I love watching Eli during the week, and I love my sweet little family. I'm so blessed and thankful for everything that has come my way.

Jack's 9mo. Dr. Appt.

A small update about Jack's Dr. Appt-
1) He tipped the scales at 19lbs. 14 ounces..(yes..he eats well ;)
2) He was 28 inches long.
3) He is right at the 50% for his age..so not to bad..
4) He got one shot ;(
5) He is growing right on schedule and appears to be a healthy 9 month old boy!!
God is so good and He's blessed us so much..we do not got back to the Dr. until he his first birthday..wow!

Ready..Set..CRAWL!!

Has it been nine months already? I can't believe Jack is 9 months old today! He is growing so fast! The past 2 weeks he has been doing all kinds of new tricks! He started clapping and dancing when music comes on. He also has been pulling up onto his knees..but today he almost pulled up all the way to standing from sitting..so this will be soon I fear ;) He also started CRAWLING!!! Yesterday he just took off..he hasn't got it all figured out yet, but he is so close. He can get from point A to point B. The video is of him crawling to get his tractor (I tell him the tractor is like Grandaddy Jack's)..in the end he finally gets the tractor and Eli takes it away ;) That's the way it goes! We are working on sharing. haha. The Murphy/Wolfe family is back at it with travel plans for Disney World Dec.3-9! I'm not sure how I can get to sleep at night knowing we will be at Disney World, during my birthday, and when it's decorated for Christmas..that is 3 of my favorite things wrapped into one week! It will definitely put us in the Christmas spirit (even though ultimately Christmas is about Jesus being born, and coming to Earth so that we would be saved from our sins) still I love decorations and the whole Christmas feeling. So, it's been a long week in our house..Michael and I had the stomach bug..and Jack has been teething ;( We are finally normal again this week..and Jack's 2 teeth on top are almost in! Enjoy the video..we are going to Jack's 9 month appointment at 3 today..can't wait to see what he weighs!! Also,as a side note..Jack will be having a "Paducah" 1st Birthday Party on October 31st..more details will follow about that..but put it in your agendas!! Enjoy ;)

Welcome Home Uncle Jordan! We are so proud of you for going and preaching the gospel to thousands in the Philippines! We are glad you made it back safe, and have enjoyed your stories ;)

Sad, but the title of this rings very true to the events that have went on this past week in the Murphy house! First off comes the wonderful visit with the Marshall/Morris/Blakney ladies ;) My sweet Mom brought up my sister, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother for a visit to see us. It was a short but sweet visit, and I enjoyed it beyond words! Below is a picture of Jack and his Great-Great Grandma..92 years apart ;) Jack is definitely darker than Meme ;

Next comes sickness..Michael and I got the plague this week..seriously..it is the sickest Michael has ever been in his life. He has never called into work for being sick..but he had to call in today..we have a terrible stomach virus..and I hope no one else has to experience it! And Jack is still trying to get that other top tooth in..it seems like it's taking FOREVER!! Here is a video of his new trick..clapping! He loves to clap and dance..sorry he wouldn't dance for the camera..we are Baptists you know ;)

The Boy Loves Cars..

Sometimes I wonder how old Jack thinks he actually is...my mom found this car at a yard sale and I had been looking for one for Eli...looks like Jack likes it just as much!! Everytime we stop moving him he cries..talk about spoiled!! The video is the best..we had to make one..looks like he is going to love cars and going fast just as much as Daddy & Uncle Jordy ;)

Boom Boom Pow!

What a weekend! We had a great weekend hanging out with friends, and trying to relax. Michael got Monday off for the holiday and we spent it at the Zoo ;) For the 4th we did not get to make it to Paducah for the annual family get together, and we were very sad. However, we did get to spend the 4th with our good buds Rachel&Jeremy. We had a great night...grilled out..played some games and just enjoyed the company. And stayed out WAY to late ;) This week has been yet another crazy week..I'm looking forward to this weekend when my Mom, Sister, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother come up for a visit. It's always nice to have family come to visit ;) These are pics from our 4th of July get together (look how patriotic we are!)...

What a mess..

Funny Mommy Story..this is I'm sure the first of many..

Today I put Jack down for his morning nap..I needed to vacumn and clean the carpet in a few spots...he was sound asleep. I decided it was a good time to go take a shower while he was still sleeping. That was probably the best 10 minutes of Jack's life..I walked by his room after getting out of the shower...and I was like something stinks.................

You probably know where I'm going with this..I put Jack to sleep in just a t-shirt and his diaper since we were going to the pool when he got up. Well..when I went into the room to see what stunk so bad..I immediately found out what the "stink" was..there was Jack with no diaper on..poop&pee pee was EVERYWHERE...and Jack was smiling..I took him to the bathtub..woke Jena up (she is in Louisville this week)..and had her give Jack a bath..while I cleaned the "mess" up..I had NO idea Jack knew how to take his diaper off..but I know now..

Anyways..funny stuff..life of a mother ;) We are so sad that we aren't going to get to make it to the family get together for the 4th! Michael had to work today..so we are going to spend the 4th with some friends instead. I hope that everyone has a safe & wonderful holiday weekend! We did get an email from Jordan..I got one via facebook that said he was having a great time..we are hoping to get a phone call from him this weekend!! I told Jordan I wanted him to bring me a good souvenir home..I hope he brings me this... This picture is one they have taken over there..is she not the cutest thing you've ever seen?!?!
