3 Dogs and A Baby ;)

***Update-most all of our friends up here in Louisville have power! Thanks to all the workers that came to help! As of now Michael's family has their power back on, but no TV,Internet, and some phones still aren't working. None of my family have power still! They are going on day 8, please pray for all of them down there, it's not looking good! Also my friend Laura lives in Hopkins Co. and they told her 21 days before her power is restored! My sister in law put a quote on her facebook status.." I will praise you in this storm, and I will lift my hands. You are who you are, no matter where I am"..what truth their is in that song by Casting Crowns! We have to trust in God through this storm, he's the only one that can get us through!***

As of now we are good! We have power,water,and everything is going well. Our friends the Oedy's just lost power though today..so we are just praying so hard that we can keep power! My cousin Brittany and her boyfriend Ryan have been staying with us since Wednesday..last time they lost power for 8 days! They have 2 dogs..so we have a full house! But we are having a great time! We have a Wii and TV so that is about all we need..plus with 3 dogs and a baby we have tons of entertainment! As of now accuweather.com is calling for a major snowstorm with "blizzard like conditions"..we are praying for all the men and women that are helping out trying to get these 180,000 people up here restored to power especially before this next storm arrives! Our family in Paducah has had no power or phones so we are so glad they are getting power back..by tonight all my family down there will have power! I will update more..but for now The Murphy's are hanging in there!

Jack's First Snow Day

Last night we got our biggest snow of the season..and now we have Ice..our power keeps flickering off and on, so I do believe it's only a matter of time before we have no power! Let's hope LG&E is ready!! Today I took Jack out in the snow for just a bit, it was freezing rain so I couldn't get any great pics b/c it was raining in his face. It was also solid ice so I would sit him down to take a picture and he would just slide ;)...We are suppose to get more snow by 2mr so maybe I can get a better pic.
We had a great weekend in Paducah..we visited over 50 people, and 11 houses all in 2 1/2 days!! Our next adventure down that way will be in March. It was great that we got to see everyone that we wanted though! I do believe Jack is exhausted..he has cried more today than he ever has in his 3 months on Earth! So it's good to see everyone but I think next time is going to have to be more relaxed. I only took a few pics during our trip..

3 Months Old ;)

Yesterday Jack turned 3 months old!!! I can't believe he is getting so big!! I am now positive that he is starting to teethe! I had to call the Doctor yesterday b/c his drool is causing his chin to chap and it's so bad that it starts bleeding ;( And they told me yep.sounds like teething has begun

;( At night Jack gets super fussy and won't go to sleep..(but when he does finally konk out he's out for a good 7-8 hours!) Thanks to Diana's recommendation on teething tablets..hopefully he will eat and sleep better now at night ;) We are heading to Paducah in a few short hours and we can't wait to see everyone..here is some pics of Jack on his 3 Month B-day ;)

Brrrrrr....

Tonight Michael, Jack, and I hung out with some great friends that we have made here in Louisville..we ate yummy chili and played games by a warm fire..what a great thing to do when the temps are below 0!!! We made sure to bundle Jack up in his warmest clothes, and when we got home here is the cutest bundled up baby ever...

Lately Jack has just been falling asleep so fast for naps..which is great! Michael had to take a picture of him snoozing today...

Jack loves holding on to anything and putting it in his mouth lately..he really loves holding on to this bear that his Mims gave him...I think he likes how soft it is!

We can't wait to make the visit down to Paducah next weekend!! Enjoy!~M

12 Weeks Old ;(

12 weeks have already passed us by here in the Murphy house..I can't believe Jack is nearing the 3 month mark!! (I am going by his actual birth day the 21st, some people go by weeks)..It's been so fun though!! He's filled our lives with so much joy and everyday just keeps getting sweeter!! He's been the best baby..I just love him to death..here is a picture of him leaving the hospital in his carseat......


And here he is at 12 weeks!! WOW!! It doesn't even look like the same boy!!

Jack is ready for snow!!

Over the Christmas visit to Paducah, we got a Snoopy snowsuit that was passed down to us from the Fletcher's (Thanks!) It's way big for Jack right now, but it's sooo cute so tonight Michael and I decided to try it on him..and here is the results..

I love putting Jack in the Bumbo chair..he usually lasts about 10 mins. and then he has enough...

We are preparing for the HUGE artic blast that's coming our way..I guess I will take a little winter..b/c then comes Spring and Summer..and I can't wait!!! Oh Goodness!

My Aunt Alisa and family have been laughing at Jack in his little blue chair with his Big buddah belly...and I must say his belly increases everyday!! He is getting to the stage were he's not a newborn anymore but still a sweet baby..he loves to play in this tunnel thing that his Uncle Joey and Aunt Halona got him for Christmas! Jack finally had a normal sleep last night (YEAH!!) and hopefully we are back on track! I also drank a ton of coffee this morning due to the fact I have alot to do today and here I am blogging haha Mamaw motivated me though since she called last night and was happy I had updated ;) So hopefully I will do better! Alot of Jack's hair is falling out ;( But he has lots and lots of new hair growing in..I'm still not convinced that his Dad or Jordan has put Nair in his shampoo?? haha At Wal-Mart yesterday I noticed they were putting swim trunks out that Jack will look oh so cute in this summer ;) I really hope he is a beach/pool lover like his mom and dad ;) I've also had requests that we put more pics of Jack in his diaper since he's so cute naked haha..so why not! In about 13 years though Jack will not like the idea that I did it!! Well this is good for now..Jack and I have alot to today to prepare for a busy weekend!! Michael and I are actually going on our first date on Saturday night after having a baby..(yes Jordan is babysitting, and I'm sure he will let everyone in Paducah know that ;) Enjoy!!

Finally...

Finally..a moment of peace and quiet ;) The past couple of weeks has been non-stop in the Murphy household!! Between Christmas,New Years, and the UK/UofL game ;)..it's been crazy..I am so happy to start a new year with my family! I have this awesome feeling that 2009 is going to be the best year yet! I can't believe that Mr.Jack is 11 weeks old today? Seriously, it has flown by! He is getting bigger and bigger each day! He is all about his smile now, and will do it to get any attention that he can..like we don't give him enough attention!! He's finally started napping again..which is a blessing, I need my few hours of quiet! Jack won't go back to the Dr. Until he's 4 months old..which seems so old to me! This year we are heading to Disney World with the Wolfe/Murphy family sometime in the fall, and I am beyond excited about this trip!! We LOVE Disney World..we will be married 4 years this May and I can't wait to celebrate that! It's just going to be a great year..here is some pictures of Jack..he is developing quite the personality!! He also has discovered his hands, and they are quite the entertainment for him! Enjoy!

I promise an update soon! The past week has been sooo busy! And someone (not to name any names) has stopped taking long naps!!! We are working on this~so once he starts taking naps again I can update all about Christmas and New Years! I'm so excited about 2009 I can hardly stand it! God blessed me beyond what I deserve in 2008 and I can't wait to see what this year holds!!
