This was from a few weeks ago..poor boy..all he wants is some snow.

I think this was the coldest day so far this winter. We were bundled up!

Jack has been sick all week. I was SO excited to see our new magnet set arrive in the mail!
He loves playing with this..and the best part is this set will last a long time.

He loved playing with all the different magnets. I love teaching him things. I love hearing him pronounce a word the correct way after we worked on it. I love hearing him get excited when he recognizes a letter..or a word. I love watching him learn to draw shapes. And then use those shapes to draw trucks! So thankful I get to stay at home and enjoy all of the above.

Dear Tate, I love you at this age. If I could keep you at 14 months I would. (Your pirate costume is a little big..;)

At 14 months you can do all kinds of things. You are shaking your head yes & no. You mumble, Thank You, when I give you something you want. You let me know when you want something..juice or snack. You have learned to bow your head & pray. You also put your finger to your mouth and tell me to SHH...;) Tate Murphy, you are a joy to be around. I pray that you keep that sweet spirit for the rest of your life.

You think you are SO big because you can climb & get in the chair.

On a side note..Jack..at this point in your life..you change characters everyday. Buzz Lightyear, Cowboy, PoliceMan, Firefighter..or Pirate..you are very good at being all of them!!

You are such a blessing.

This week is "E" week. Jack loves doing school..hope that lasts ;)

This is what I was doing a year ago..taking care of this precious baby boy.

Big Papa & Nene bought Jack a trampoline for Christmas. We have already had so much fun on this thing!! It is so much safer than what we had growing up!!

Griffin came over for the KY vs Louisville game..he knew who was going to win..so he slept. I just love him.

It snowed (barely a 1/2 inch today) and Jack had to go out and play!!
He was FREEZING..but he loved it.

The Year of Blessings.

I wanted to blog about the blessings the Lord has bestowed upon us this past year. I want my children to read this someday & know how good God is to those who love him and trust in Him. It all started at the first of the year when Michael decided to sell his truck..or someone wanted to buy it. Since he had a work truck he really didn't need his black tiny truck. My Grandaddy said he knew someone wanting to buy it..so we sold it..to my Grandaddy! ha! This was only the start of all the blessings God had in store for us. Michael & I had been praying about where the Lord wanted us to live. We knew buying a house was in the plans..but wasn't sure exactly when or where. We decided to get rid of my car in May, we were going to buy something more practical that could haul our load! As we started looking around my Mom called and decided that she wanted to give us her Explorer. Free. Blessed Assurance Jesus is Mine! We listed the car on the Internet, and sold it 2 days later, for exactly what we asked for. Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace. We decided to start looking at a few houses..just to get some ideas. Our lease on our apartment wasn't up until July 2012..so we knew we couldn't buy anything in 2011. The Lord really used all of this to show me that He is in control. I had a tough time submitting to my husband about our price range of a house. When I turned that over to God, and came to a agreement with my Husband, everything went so much better! We still knew that we had no money to buy a house, no down payment, and no way to break our lease. We really started praying. One day I got a text message from "someone" saying "find a house, I will help you with the down payment". Trust & Obey. After looking at houses in our "price range" it seemed way harder than what I thought. We were looking all over Louisville..but then..one day Michael drove by one on his way to work. And it turned out to be just the right one.Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus!! We turned in our keys at our apartment, knowing that we might pay rent on this place for 9 more months. Four days later I got a call saying the apartment had been rented out. Oh Praise His Name!! Wow. Just reading that gives me goosebumps. God has a plan. I know that God is going to use us here in Valley Station. I know that our time at East was to grow us and prepare us for such a time as this ;) I still go back and visit my old lady friends at the apartment..and share God's love with them. I am so excited about this new year and this new place God has put us in. I am also thankful for my husband's faith in the Lord and making decisions not based on what the world thinks, but what God wants for us to do. I am thankful the Lord humbled me & how I grew this past year. I have so much to be thankful for..

We can build a snowman! This was one of our Christmas activities..to build a snowman. However, it was 60* outside so we made a cotton ball snowman instead!

Jack & the Bean Table

I am always trying to find creative things for Jack to play with. I decided to bring in our sand & water table from the garage and fill it with BEANS! The beans cost around $6..and they have provided SO many hours of entertainment. They are super easy to clean up as well! Every other night I go in and sweep them up, and put them back in the table! His imagination goes wild with these beans!

I love this..my boys are finally starting to play together. (and yes, Tate has a pink pacifier..his got traded apparently at church ha!)

Today we went to the zoo. There was No one there. Jack kept asking where everyone was! We took full advantage of it and did whatever we wanted ;) This was one of my favorite trips to the zoo.

Oh my..I just love him.

This was our favorite part of the day. We stayed at the polar bear exhibit for 45 minutes. We watched this bear the whole time! She put on a show for us! She played with all of her bear toys, and swam under water. Since no one was there we sat and watched...Jack didn't want to leave, we would walk away..and then go back and watch some more!

Life with two boys is interesting. As soon as I knew Tate was a boy..I knew my life would never be boring. And that have proved that to me over & over this week! I joke with Jack but ever once in a while I have to tell him to do something to busy his hands! That kid can get into more trouble than anyone I know! This past week he has been a mess! So, on Friday we put together my IKEA spice shelves (that we are going to paint this week). He could put most of it together..and loved every minute of it! We will use these as book shelves in the window seat!

For years I have been looking for an advent calendar! I finally decided to make my own this year. I made my own envelope pattern..then cut out 25 envelopes! I then printed out the numbers (&laminated them!) Then I put 25 activities,bible verse, & a word of the day on the card inside. We are loving this! I also wrapped up 25 Christmas books and we open one a night. Jack LOVES this idea. What a fun way to countdown to Christmas & learn!

"Tornado Tate"..since he started walking he is into EVERYTHING!! I turn my head for one second and he is making a mess. But man..he has has the sweetest smile. However, he has not once touched out Christmas Tree!

I tried to get our Christmas card picture the other day..and I gave up. I thought this one truly is our day at home. Tate smiling sweetly..and Jack thinking of what he can possibly do to be crazy ;) Is anyone else loving all the Christmas movies on TV?
I haven't watched this much TV in a long time.
It doesn't help that I've made cookies every night this weekend to go with our movie ;)

Here is the famous cupcake..last week at the zoo, Jack decided to roll the cupcake down the hill. Today I made him get a picture by it so I could document that moment in his life. He thought it was hilarious! He was so excited to show everyone the "cupcake" & tell us he rolled it down the hill.

When John & Matthew moved back from Louisville to Paducah, Jack got really upset. He didn't understand why they didn't live near us anymore. And he asks about them at least every other day. He had so much fun getting to hang out with his sweet cousins this weekend.

On Thursday we went with some friends to Huber's to pick apples! I was planning on baking with some of them, and making fried apples with the rest. However, Jack has almost ate our whole bag!

School is going great with Jack. We enjoy this one on one time while Tate is napping. Jack is really quick to pick up on things..so I have to stay on my toes as well! So far we have learned the letters A & B..and 0-3..he is also learning to write them. (tracing the letters). I am sooo loving this. Even though it's not a classroom of 20 kiddos..I have a great student ;) We also do lots of extras..such as a nature hunt that we did today!

My Old Kentucky Home

After 6 1/2 years of reminding myself that I my home is not here on earth..and praying for God's provision as we decided if Paducah or Louisville was where God wanted us here on earth..we finally felt God led us to Louisville forever. So, we bought a house! I feel like the biggest burden has been lifted off of me..we went back & forth so many times..wondering where we should live..and now it's final. I will always love Paducah..I will always miss my family..but Louisville is home for us. It's where we have become a family..and we have the dearest friends here. If I had to leave them behind right now..I think my heart would break. So..meet my Old Kentucky Home..

Been a bit busy..

To say that we have been busy might be a understatement..but I wanted to at least blog a bit so my kiddos would know what we did in September of 2011 ;) On Labor Day we had to miss our Holiday World trip because of sick Tate (who for the record STILL has a ear infection..going on 4 1/2 weeks..)so Jack was crushed. We took him to Chuck E Cheese..and he thought it was AWESOME! We had fun as well..although I didn't get to play skee ball ;(

Tate enjoyed eating the pizza & dancing to the music.
Jack & Michael had a blast.

Last week we started school. I am doing a 3 year old curriculum with Jack (ABCJesusLovesMe). We usually do school when Tate is asleep..although we do some stuff at odd times during the day! We are having a blast (so far..). He loves school. He always asks me what's next ;) And he loves showing Michael what he learned when he gets home from work.

AND he gets to do school with no shirt on! ha!

Michael has been working a lot this week..so we have gotten out of the house every day.

I have decided with 2 boys..in a apartment, that being outside is a must! Jack & Tate love being outside..we visited the Creekside Splash Park which was great fun!

Today we visited Henry's Ark, it is a small petting zoo in Prospect..some of the animals just roam freely..so Jack was in Heaven! Not only were there animals..but a tractor,lawnmower, and barns..he asked to stay forever.

Tate was so excited about the dogs..he is a HUGE dog fan.Jack loved the deer..We took a whole bag of carrots..and left with a empty bag.

Jack even "tried" to feed the turtle a carrot.Oh,brothers..I love these boys. They are so fun to hang out with..& Louisville is such a fun place to live!

Today we went to the zoo. We have not been all summer! But I have not got to spend a lot of time with the boys this week, so it was a great day to do so! The zoo was empty, now that school is back in session.

Tate-9 Months Old

Tate is now 9 months old.

Where did the time go?

It happened way to fast.And Mommy is super sad .

We went for his 9 month check-up yesterday & he had a double ear infection(your first one ever).

And I had no idea because he is so easy going.

So, he got out of his one shot.

He tipped the scales at 21lbs. (BIG baby ;) & measured 29 inches long.

He is crawling,waving bye -bye,jabbering, & eating some table food.

He also has 6 (almost 8) teeth!
He is such a blessing..he loves to get into all of brother's toys.

He loves dogs, although we don't have one.

And he thinks Jack is hilarious, which scares me just a little..

Colin Tate Murphy..I love you sweet boy.

I look forward to the next 3 months before we say hello to the Big #1.

I will go ahead and warn you that Mommy will be super sad that day ;(

It has been a bit since I have blogged..Tate is into everything..I turn my head and he is eating something. Seriously..we have had a busy month so far..with lots more fun to go! Friday night, Jack got to go to the dirt car races with Jordan & Daddy..he had a blast!!My precious Tate turns 9 months old this month!!

I need to start planning a birthday party I guess!!

Last weekend we went to Paducah to celebrate my 10 year high school reunion! It was a blast seeing everyone & getting together!

Erin & I have been friends since..we knew what friends were! I never get to spend time with her on my trips to Paducah, so it was a blast getting to see her so much! We haven't changed one bit!!

I can hardly believe that Tate is 8 months old. What they say is very true, time flies with your second child. Every time I think about Tate..I just smile. He is just precious. He smiles all the time..always talking..and is a joy to be around. However, between teeth & learning to be mobile..Momma isn't getting a lot of sleep!! But it will pass..and one day I will be longing to do it all again! He is almost crawling..but can roll or scoot to get anything he wants. Jack calls Tate "Buddy"..and it's the most adorable thing ever. Tate is eating some table food already..he's a monster what can I say! I love being a Mom.

On Saturday we took Jack to see his first movie! I was so sad I left my camera at home..but I snapped one picture with my phone! So, not the best quality but atleast I have something!! We went to see Cars 2, and it was super cute! However, I think Jack is more excited about seeing Winnie the Pooh, next!! (We all know how much he loves Pooh!)

Tate got his first "illness" this week. I am amazed that he has not been sick for 7 1/2 months! Jack was the opposite! I was for sure it was his ears..but after out Dr.'s visit we found out he had a throat virus. His fever reached almost 103.8 on Sunday night, which had me very worried. I was thankful to see this cute smile yesterday..after a long few days. Although, now his top teeth are coming in..and the crankiness/sleeplessness has returned..

oh well..I will miss the baby stage someday....maybe..

The time you locked me out of the house and I had to call Grandmother..yea, fresh on my mind still. But right now I am so proud of you..(and I forgive you for being mean to all of my friends). You have grown up to be a beautiful young woman..and don't ever let anyone tell you, you aren't! When you go away to college in August, remember who you are & where your from. The values you have are outstanding..hold to those.

I decided to do a post of my favorite Moms growing up..none of these beautiful ladies are related to me..but they will always hold a special place in my heart. Mrs.Ronna..I could do a whole post about this woman! She is so special to me. Her kids adore her..and her husband loves her. She has made me laugh way to many times..because she is so funny!! She loves the Lord..and her heart is geared for Him. She is someone I wanted to be just like growing up. I love this Mom..and her whole family. And I miss her sweet laugh ;)

Mrs.Terri..she can play the organ like no other!! She is one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. She always has a smile on her face. I loved watching her play the organ on Sundays at church...and praying with her family. She is so wonderful. And her daughter adores her.

Mrs.Sherry...ha! I remember you teaching us girls about being a Proverbs 31 woman..and how we laughed at the thought of "rising while it was still night" HA! If only I had known, how many nights as a Mom I would be up!! I love everything about this lady..and I'm thankful she took time out of her life to love me..and show me God's love, and how to be a wife and mother.

Munner..I have no idea how you survived us..wow. You are just amazing. A wonderful mother and wife..and Grandmother (to us all ;). I have watched you share your heart with many people over the years..and I thank you for sharing your life with me and my family. You are so special. And for putting up with Erin,Laura, and I..not many can do that ;)

Mrs.Lyles..you are the SWEETEST lady I have ever met in my whole entire life. I get reports all the time of you asking how I'm doing..and how you would LOVE to hear me sing at church!! I just think you are amazing. You have such a sweet,gentle, and kind spirit.

WAHHHHHH..Michele..Oh, Michele. Where do I start with you sister?? I love you. I love your singing..and how you are a wonderful Mom. I love when you took Erin and I cruising in your mustang..yea, we were awesome!

Mrs.Linda..let's begin by saying..thank you for always making sure Erin and I had something to eat..since we were so lazy and never made it to breakfast on any youth trips. Thank you for loving us..and sharing God's word with us. You were always our Mom when we were away from our real Moms..and you never minded. You comforted us, laughed with us, got mad with us..and loved us. You are very special to me.

Momma Kay..you were forced to be a Mom to me since your daughter and I are best friends. I miss you dearly and I know your daughter does as well. What I loved most about you..was your laugh..and how you could ALWAYS make me laugh. You would be so proud of your daughter Laura..thank you for giving me such a wonderful friend. Miss you!

Cassey...oh man..you gave me one of the greatest gifts of my life..your daughter Erin as my best friend. I am so glad that you were a part of my life. I think I spend over 1/2 of my life at your house..and I loved it. I have NO idea how you put up with Erin and I. And I am so sorry you never had a to bail us out of jail ;) Even though you wanted to choke us out most of the time..I know you loved us..you are a wonderful Christian wife & mother..and I am blessed to know you.

Mrs.Belva..sometimes I think they wrote Proverbs 31 about you! You are a TRUE example of what a preacher's wife should be. You are passionate about the Lord. And a true prayer warrior. I am still amazed by your piano playing skills..thank you for being a blessing to so many. What a blessing you have been to my family..and still are. Thank you for loving us so much!

Last night Michael and I got to attend ...

David Platt taught the gospel in a way that I have never experienced before. It was mind-blowing, life- altering..6 hours of amazingness (is that a word?)..before I went Michael had asked me this question "If God wants us to go and do His work someday..would you?". I of course answered "don't think God is speaking to me about that right now..check back in, oh..40 years" ;) When I left at 1:20am last night..God was saying..it's not about you, and what you want..it's about ME! So, we don't think God is calling us to be missionary's or anything extraordinary like that(or maybe?)..but we do feel God calling us to do more as a family. And last night I prayed that God would use us..not just me, or Michael..but all 4 of us. I made a note in my book (I will explain just how hard it was to take notes in a bit)..it says "All Worship..All Life...He deserves My All"..the note taking was also amazingness (I love this word!) They gave us a study guide with fill in the blanks, so that it would be useful to us during the study and after. I have read over mine about 80 times today, trying to soak in what I missed. David Platt went so fast, that if you made a side note..you might miss 4 Fill In The Blanks!! But it was great to be able to "cheat" off your neighbor for the answer!!! What has struck me the most is this fact he gave" There are over 11,000 people groups in the world today"."OVER 6,000 people groups still not reached with the gospel"..Wow.."this condition is not acceptable".."This commission is absolutely achievable"..yet, another wow. This is our purpose to proclaim His name to all nations. On Easter Sunday..as you sit in Worship, or maybe rocking a baby or at work...think about how YOU can share with someone the gospel. 50,000 people tuned into "Secret Church" last night..what if next time it's over 100,000..I urge you if he does this again..SIGN UP..1am is not that late..and it's worth it..
I would have stayed all night to soak up that information.
I do not deserve his mercy.
I am thankful for it.

This past week I have been learning a lot of lessons. As a Wife, Mother, Friend, and Family Member..God is teaching me that I have to be praying. I have spent more time praying, crying, and reading God's word this week..than most other things. I have asked myself some tough questions. I have asked God some tough questions. And the answer he keeps pointing me to..is pray, and to pray with all my heart..

" For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart" Jeremiah 29 11:13

I'm not sure why God wants me to learn the lessons I am..but I do know he doesn't do anything without a purpose. I am thankful that the trials of this past week are in His hands.

I am thankful as a Christian family we defeated the devil in his plan.

And now, I am done being sad, and I'm letting God take over from here ;)

I do not like being sad..and especially crying. Earlier today I looked up the meaning of Tate's name (yes, we aren't one to name a child b/c of meaning haha) his name means Cheerful.

Wow..this describes him from head to toe.

He is the most cheerful and happy baby, I have ever been around..he already loves life and he's 5 months old. And I can't imagine the plan God has in store for him!!

So today..in spite of the war the devil has sprung on people I love..I choose to be cheerful. And pray..

Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I am with you; when you pass 2 through the streams, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm 3 you. 43:3 For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, 4 your deliverer.

Thank you Lord, for my husband, my marriage, my children, and my family.

And thank you for holding my hand and being my deliverer.

We had been playing with our set of Resurrection Eggs this morning. Jack was amazed by them! And it was so fun sharing the story of Jesus with him.We pulled out his kid's bible so he could see pictures of what we were talking about. Then I told him for rest time today he could watch the DVD of Easter. He came in the living room very sad looking..telling me that Jesus got nails in his feet..and was put on a cross. I told him that it was okay because, if he remembered the tomb was empty!

I said "where did Jesus go when he arose for the tomb?"..His answer.."Wal-Mart" ;)

Last week was a busy week. Thankful for my sister in law, coming up to take care of my kids so I could work all week. With that being said...I missed being a stay at home mom..who knew I would miss cleaning, cooking, and chasing two kids all day long!

Time is flying at Tate is now 4 months old!! Today he went to his check=up..everything was great! He weighed in at 16 lbs..and was 26 inches long!! He has been eating rice cereal for breakfast..and we will start adding veggies for dinner now! I cannot believe he is 4 months! Time is going by way to fast!

Tate is 3 1/2 months old now. He is AMAZING. He hardly cries..and smiles all the time. He is such a blessing. Tate started sleeping through the night at about 9 weeks old. He LOVES to sleep. He is taking 5 bottles a day, 6 ounces each time. He is growing so fast!

He loves to play in the floor and watch what Jack is doing.

He hates tummy time..and most of his hair is starting to fall out. I love this boy.

It's hard to believe that it's been two months since I first met my little boy. He is such a great baby..I enjoy him SO much. At two months, he is eating every 3 hours..at night he is going 6 hours straight sleeping (thank you!)..and he loves to goo,gah, and smile..;) I love everything Tate does..I love to sit & stare at him. Tate has the curliest hair after hes get out of the bath. Right now he one eye is blue, the other is brown. He has long, beautiful eyelashes just like Jack. He doesn't cry very much, unless he is hungry. He is precious.

My cousin Matthew has been sick so he's been hanging out with us since he can't go to school..he got to make his first while Jack was napping...

A lady at church gave me this brilliant idea..it seems every time I am feeding Tate..Jack gets hungry as well..(or jealous..). This is his snack box..I put different snacks in little snack bags..and this way he can pick one when he gets hungry. I also made some Grape & PB&J sandwiches in the fridge. This is just to make life a little simpler..;)(I also added some cute stickers to make it fun)

Been a while...

We have been busy, busy,busy..this week we have been stuck inside..Jack has been under the weather..and we have had nasty weather!! It's just been to cold to get Tate out..so I think we are starting to get cabin fever!! This picture pretty much sums up our week..Jack acting goofy..and Tate just chilling ;) Everyone is doing good. At the Dr. last week Tate had gained lots of weight..so he is back on track. My Pediatrician seems to think that their scale was messed up..because in one week he went from 7 pounds,1 oz..to 8 pounds, 4oz..strange huh? Last night we got some ice which has made things very nasty. We are looking forward to finally getting out of this house tomorrow! I need to finish Christmas shopping! Because one week from today we will be headed to Paducah, for our 48 hour, 8 Christmas, Craziness Tour! Sounds like fun huh? We shall see...

We have had a great first 2 weeks home as a family of four. Everyone has been so sweet to us. Meals are being brought..gifts..family visiting. It's so great, it's amazing how much joy a newborn baby can bring. Today we went to the Dr. for Jack's two year check up and Tate's two week check up. Tate had lost more weight so we are hoping to pack on the pounds this week ;) Jack is right on target for a two year old! He is such a joy! He is loving being a Big Brother..I am so glad. He wants to help out..kiss him..play with him..talk to him..I love it, truly warms my heart. Makes me want another one..oh wait..haha Here are some pictures from this week:

Colin "Tate" Murphy

1.Why did you have to be induced?

I started feeling bad on Sunday after church..I noticed a lot of swelling but just figured it was because I had done to much that morning. Monday I woke up and had more swelling..and felt horrible. I packed Jack up and went to Kroger to take my blood pressure..it was 142/90. I knew that preeclampsia was setting in. I called the Dr. and they had me come in. At the Dr.'s office my blood pressure was 160/100..but after laying down it went back to normal. They monitored me for a while..and decided I needed to do a 24 hour urine test. I took the test back on Wednesday..my blood pressure was still high. The Dr. told me to go home and rest because she figured we would be inducing Friday. The Dr. called me about 1:30pm with the test results..and the protein in my urine was sky high. So, they would have to start inducing that day because preeclampsia had set in.

2.How was labor?

They started inducing me about 10pm on a slow drip. At 4:30am I started feeling some contractions..and at 5am they started the pitocin on a strong drip and would keep increasing it. At 8am I got the epidural. I was dilated to almost 6cm and the contractions were hurting very badly and my blood pressure was increasing. Around 11 I started pushing and Tate was born! The labor was great..and believe it or not..I would do it again! (but I think we will adopt) ;)

3.How much did he weigh/length?

He weighed 7lbs. 12 ounces and 20.5 inches (he has the skinniest chicken legs!) October 18th.When we left the hospital he weighed 7lbs. 4 ounces.

4. Why are you all calling him Tate instead of Colin?

I really liked the name Colin..but after a friend suggested the name Tate...I fell in love with it. I didn't like how Tate Colin sounded though..so we decided to use Colin as the first name..but call him Tate. We waited until we saw him and as soon as I saw him I knew it was Tate.

5.How am I feeling?

I am feeling amazing. I am getting sleep (some)..and I feel SO much better than I did when I had Jack. I was so swollen with Jack that I think that made me feel horrible. But I feel great..but still trying to take it east.

6. How is Tate sleeping?

He has seriously been in a coma-state the first 8 days of life..I would have to wake him to nurse every 2 1/2..3 hours..today he finally started waking up more every 3 hours to nurse! At night he will go a 4 hour stretch which is awesome! He's the best ;)

7.How is Big Brother Jack doing?

He is loving all the attention..we've had lots of family up and he's getting spoiled but that is okay! He asks for Tate all the time..he wants to touch him, hold him, etc..he's amazing!! However, last week he started running a fever..and not feeling well. Today his fever came back..so I'm pretty sure his 2 year molars are coming in.

8. Did I go Black Friday shopping?

No ;) But my sweet, amazing, awesome husband did!!!! I decided to get a cheap laptop at Wal-Mart (when you have 2 boys running around you don't need anything expensive ;)..I love having a laptop..it will make blogging easier.

We love being a family of 4..Michael is the greatest Dad..it melts my heart to see him with his boys. They couldn't possibly have a better role model..I am so happy, and thankful for my amazing little family. My heart is so full. I'll post more now I promise ;) My Mom is coming up this week and I can't wait to spend time with her.

Wow..November has turned out to be a very busy month!! We have had SO many visitors that I can't even keep up with them all. And I believe we will have many more..very soon!!! I have been so busy that I have not had time to update my blog! Oh my!

Jack is not scared of ANYTHING..this blow up slide was huge..and he LOVED it...ugh..we have a interesting life ahead of us..

This morning he was just to cute not to take a picture..

This is what we spend most of our time doing..playing Duplos..or reading books..or coloring. Mainly Duplos though..his imagination is amazing!! I'm not sure which is the biggest kid in this picture.

My Dad had to go back on the boat to work but he wanted to visit with Jack & I before..because he knew while he was gone that his second grandson would arrive. It was a quick but fun day! Jack & I are now able to Skype with many of the grandparents..which is SO nice!! So, while Big Papa is on the boat we are able to Skype with him! Jack LOVES his Big Papa..

I've also had a baby shower, my Mom,Sister,&Step-Dad come to visit, my Grandparents came up, Michael's grandparents came to visit..and now we are just awaiting the arrival of Colin Tate!! Sunday I started feeling not so good..so on Monday they had me come into the office. My blood pressure was 150/100, while moving around. If I laid on my side it went down..but this is exactly what happened with Jack..however..with him it started at 33 weeks..this time they can deliver ANYTIME..and we will be good to go. I am having to complete a 24 hour urine test..to check for Proteins..my Dr. told me to fail it so we can get this baby here ;)

If I pass the Protein test..they will induce Friday or Monday..(as long as he decides not to come first!!) I have more swelling today..so I'm thinking his arrival will not be far off.

We are so excited to become a family of 4....here's hoping for a Turkey Baby ;)

Trick or Treat

Sunday night I had decided I had missed out on to much Fall fun..so I got to ride in the truck while the boys trick or treated. And see no baby yet!! Since Jack's cousins, John & Matthew moved up they really wanted Jack to go trick or treating with them. I wasn't sure how Jack would do..but since he isn't scared of anything I thought why not give it a try!

Look at my BIG BOY!! He would walk up to the door with the boys and say Trick or Treat! John helped him up steps, and opening his bag. He LOVED getting candy!! (even though he can't eat most of it..that's okay..;) Michael walked with the boys, but let them go to the door.

I wish I had gotten a picture of the boys riding in the back of Rusty's 4-runner. We had the back opened and they were all 3 sitting back there. We let them do this around the neighborhood so they could get out easily. It was so cute when we would drive because all you would hear was candy papers rustling around..they couldn't wait to eat the candy!

We had SO much fun! I'm so glad I got to go because it was so cute to watch Jack experience his first trick or treating! However...we have LOTS more to go!!

Bedrest-Week 1

I have officially been on bed rest for a week-one word to describe it-BLAH! It has gone by fast but I miss being a Mom! Jack is doing pretty good..he has been enjoying "showing out" while company is here ;) This week my Grandmother Patsy is here..she will be leaving Thursday morning and some friends will be keeping Jack. I haven't been doing a lot this week..just laying around. I wish I liked watching TV because I would definitely be able to catch up on any show! I can't sleep very well at night..very uncomfortable..restless..bathroom breaks.. ;) I can survive knowing that this is temporary and that soon my baby boy will be in my arms! Wow! What a thought!! Colin Tate..I'm so ready to meet you!! We've been talking more to Jack about "baby" coming. If you ask him what his baby brother's name is he will tell you "Tate". I can't wait to see him with his brother.. Tomorrow night is Fall Festival..and of course, I can't go. I'm totally bummed but I know it will go great! My co-worker Rachel is awesome!! I am hoping Michael takes my camera and makes pictures..he owes me that much right?? My Grandmother is going to stay with me tomorrow night, which is good because I would probably cry the whole time the boys were gone ;)

Jack has had a busy week (birthday wise). Presents & cards kept showing up at the door all week! Mims sent Jack, firetruck bedding, for his new big boy bed!! He was beyond thrilled. He is so obsessed with firetrucks.

Nene & Poppa bought Jack a shake and go race track!! He loves playing with this!

Opening gifts..Christmas is going to be so fun this year!

Nene was a lifesaver this week..since I can't do anything..she baked Jack some cupcakes and decorated to make his birthday special.

Rachel brought Jack ice cream & balloons!! He was thrilled!!

Jack had to go to the Dr. on his birthday because he wasn't feeling well. He still had a great birthday though!

I thought Jack's birthday would be horrible because I was on bed rest. But we had such a great day, so many friends stopped by and it was just very special. We are blessed as a family to have such wonderful people in our lives. Michael & I have been blessed to be parents now for 2 years to Jack! He continues daily to amaze me at things he learns..and skills he uses! He is potty trained & sleeps in a big boy bed. He loves coloring, and playing with trucks. He is going to be such a great big brother! I am SO going to have my hands full..but I can't wait! I've realized after being on bed rest for a week and watching other people be "me"..that I truly enjoy my job as a wife & mom, and friend. I love serving at church each week..and I just have a wonderful life. For now I'm going to bake Colin Tate..(I wish we could decide if we are going to call him Colin or Tate...)..and soak up these next few days of resting!!

Babu & The Bibi's come to visit..

My Grandaddy Jack just got back from Africa about a week or so ago..while he was there they called him "Babu" which in Swahili means "Grandfather". He decided that is what he wants Jack & Colin Tate to call him. I looked up "Grandmother" and it's name is "Bibi". So, on Thursday Jack had his Babu (Great-Grandaddy Jack), Meme (Great-Great-Grandmother), Gran Gran (Great-Grandmother), and Mims (My Mom ;) come to visit! We had a great time as always!!

It was a great visit..it was very hard to say good bye. Jack cried & I cried..then I realized the next time I see them all I will hopefully be holding Colin Tate in my arms!

We are so blessed..praise the Lord for our Babu & Bibi's ;)

I have been a horrible blogger. Every time I try to blog it never works. So I decided since I'm up every night because of acid reflux, then I will start blogging then! Last Saturday, Michael and I enjoyed a date night to see KY play football! It was a exciting game..we lost..but we still had a great time! Just what we needed before the baby comes!! Tuesday I went with some of my good friends and their kiddos to the Pumpkin Patch...they had a petting zoo...

Jack loved petting the animals.. Mrs.Jessica told Jack to climb up and kiss the Llama..of course he did..

Mrs.Jessica brought a HUGE bag of feed for each of the kids to give the animals..they had fun feeding them!

As soon as I saw the huge piles of hay...

I knew Jack Murphy would have no fear climbing to the top..

Fall is in the air..and I love it. I have never been so excited to see summer go..seriously..I'm NEVER happy to see it go..except this year!! Last night Jack and I went to the playground to soak up some fresh air. We lost track of time and stayed two hours!! It was great though, I enjoy every minute spent with my sweet boy..soon he will have to share his time with Mom ;)

Jack is now swinging in a "big boy swing"!!! I made the cutest video of him swinging..and wouldn't you know it's upside down..maybe I'll post it someday..

My friend Jana tagged me to do this survey type thing..so why Michael is giving Jack a bath..I decided why not have some ME time ;) (Plus, I've been a horrible mother and have taken ZERO pictures of Jack lately..I'll try to take some 2mr)

What would your dream job be?
I am going to say..I'm living the dream right now. I wanted so badly to be a teacher at a inner city school..I had no idea though that God had another plan. Here I am 10 years later..a full time stay at home Mom..and Director of Preschool Ministry at East Campus Highview. Even though both jobs can be very stressful..I love it. I love serving the Lord, doing what I love to do the most. I was thinking today how I would miss Jack so much if I worked a job away from home. I know that some people enjoy doing that..but I truly believe being a Mother is what God wants me to do..ok enough rambling..

In what century would you like to live?
Oh man..not this one!!! I have no clue..probably 1920's..why not ;)
Where would you like to live?
Florida. Close enough to the beach to ride my bike...
And if not Florida..I'd love to someday live in my Meme Marshall's house..overlooking the farm.
And if not Meme's house..then a farm here in Louisville ;)

What made you start a blog?
So my wonderful family back in Paducah can keep up with Jack (and soon Colin, even though now Michael & Jack want to call him Tate...)

What would you like to do before you turn 100?
Oh man. I want to adopt a little girl. I cannot wait.
I also would love to go on a mission trip to Africa with my Husband & Grandaddy Jack..
And maybe..parasail (hoping to do that in Florida next summer ;)

Friday (Sept.24)..we went to the Oedy's new house to play..in the baby pools!!! How crazy?!?! It was very warm!! I'm hoping that we have seen the last of 90* weather..Almost half of my pregnancy has been spent in 90* weather..not fun!!

Thursday I had a quick Dr. Appt..Colin Tate was perfect! Blood pressure was normal, gaining weight,..I'm starting to feel very tired..but Jack keeps me busy!

In one month..my sweet boy turns 2.

When they tell you that it goes by quickly..they aren't kidding.

Jack is growing in so many ways..he is smarter,funnier, and sweeter each day that he is alive.

He is going to make a wonderful Big Brother.

This week my Mom came to visit..it was so nice to have her here..Jack & I already miss her..
We went to the park today and had a blast..even if it was 95*..where is Fall?

Jack loves his Mims..he's asked every 20 mins. tonight where she is..

This is the hard part about living away from family. Thankfully we are not to far...

Jack is a pottying super-star!! He hardly has accidents anymore..here we are walking 40 miles (ha) to the bathroom at the park to go potty ;)

9..yes, 9 more weeks until Colin Tate is due to arrive.

I cannot wait.

Only 7 more months until I will get a full nights sleep, if I'm lucky.

I am so ready for Fall..it's almost here..this weekend was so nice it got me craving baked apples, pumpkins, orange,red, and brown colored anything...I'm so excited! I love summer just as much as anyone..but this summer, Louisville was the #1 hottest city..REALLY?

Jack got really sick last week. He had croup,strep throat, and a double ear infection. It was a long, hard week for us all. I'm so thankful my boy is feeling back to normal..it was sad. So, with that said we didn't do alot the past week, so we made up for it this weekend ;)

Saturday, we got Krispy Kreme donuts delivered to our door by Thom & Eli, they were doing a fund raiser for Arise For Children!! We were so excited!!

Ummm..let's just go ahead and celebrate a little that UK BEAT UofL!!!!!!!
We finally got out and went to Britt & Ryan's to grill out and enjoy the game.

I am SO happy to see August go ;) This has been the hottest summer of my life..and I'm ready for fall..which I'm NEVER ready for summer to leave..but it's time ;) We have had a super busy week! So, I decided to post a little about what's going on....

Jack is potty training...yep..crazy man wants to pee on the potty ;) He is still having some accidents..but he is doing great for his age I think! He wanted to take a picture of his "Mickey Mouse Underwear for Pop"..haha Looks like his cute smile is gone and now replaced with the "cheese" face...

And a update on Colin Tate!!!

I went to the Dr. 2 weeks ago and everything was looking good. My BP was up a bit but nothing to worry about yet! I have gained 8 pounds so far this pregnancy..and I feel great (most days). Last week was amazing since we had the break from the heat!! I can't believe that in 12 weeks this little man will be here! I have been having strong Braxton Hicks..atleast once a week...relaxation and a bottle of water usually help them go away ;)

Can I also say how thankful I am for my awesome husband?? He wants me to REST REST REST..and does so great at helping with Jack. I love my family..;)

This weekend my Grandparents, Aunt,Uncle, and Cousin Shelby came up for the annual KY Skeet Shooting Tournament. This is the third year we have all hung out and as always it was a blast! Friday night we got to enjoy dinner with my Grandparents and Saturday we went to the shoot! Jack loved entertaining everyone ;) Here is some pics..

Michael & I have joked that this month..Jack is stepping into Manhood! HA! The first weekend in August, we went to a car show here in Louisville. Jack LOVED it..believe it or not I actually threw some learning in as well..it's a RED car..or a BLACK car ;) Last weekend, Jack went with Daddy,Pops, & Uncle Jordy to the Dirt Car Races!! I stayed in Paducah on Friday, and Jack came back to Louisville with Pops. This was the first time Jack and I had been that far apart for a long time. It was hard to be without out him..but thankfully I got tons of picture mail and saw that Jack was having a blast!! He loved it.
