Easter Weekend..and Surprises!!

These are some pics of the Murphy/Wolfes..I have to wait until I get home to download some from the Marshalls/Morris/and Varvels haha

This weekend was so much fun in Paducah..It was fun to get to tell the family the good news! My mom was first..I had made a picture frame with the ultrasound pic in it...and when she saw it she started lauging..then she began crying..and making a weird noise..it was great though! Totally caught her offguard!! We then went to GMom Wolfe's and Michelle and Jena were waiting on us there..I gave Michelle the same picture frame..and she started yelling/screaming and kicking her feet!! It was so great!! It took my grandmother forever to figure out what the picture was.."b/c they didn't have those back in my day" haha..she actually thought it was Max at first..no glasses on ;) Our child is going to be one lucky kid b/c it will have 3 great-great grandmas still alive!! How wonderful!! also 2 sets of great-grandparents, and 3 sets of grandparents!!
We are so excited..Morning sickness has kicked in..and most of you were aware of how sick I was..it's still the same..and being very tired at the same time..Oh I forgot to tell my dad's reaction..he walked in from outside and the first thing he said to me was..geez manda when are you going to have me some grandkids..I was like well..November? haha..It was great I thought he was going to pass out!! Love it! Thanks to everyone for great meals and fun Easter weekend! We are looking forward to another not so crazy visit maybe in May! I will also update with some pics soon!! No belly pics though yet, haha!!

13 inches of snow..tornado..all in a week..

I really have no words to describe the feelings I have about this past weekend..I have never been so scared/mad/devastated/confused/upset all at one time. We were having the best time until we heard a sound like people were stomping on the bleachers..it kept getting louder and louder..that is when we realized there are NO bleachers in the Georgia dome..then chaos hit..the roof of the dome started whip ling like it was going to come off..some of the walls blew out and debris from outside starting blowing in..and then the speakers and TVs that were hanging above everyone begin to move very rapidly back and forth..that is when Michael grabbed my hand..he thought the stuff was going to fall..did I mention how loud the sound was?? It was like a freight train was going over the dome..at 135 mph..we had NO warning of a tornado..everyone just stood there..no one knew what to do..we couldn't get out of there b/c so many people were standing in the aisles..it was a complete mess..that's when the announcer came on and told us severe weather is going through downtown Atlanta..to relax and stay calm..cell phones were out for about 30 mins. after the tornado had passed b/c of so many calls going in and out..it wasn't until we talked to everyone that we found out it was a tornado!!!! They wouldn't let us out of the dome until everything was done, we then got more calls that another storm was moving through in about 40 mins..people were surprisingly calm..i think everyone was in shock..if only we knew what outside looked like..it might have freaked more people out..we were there for about 2 hours when they decided to postpone the Ky game..and oh yeah you have 15 mins to get out...When we walked out of the building..it was like a bomb had went off in the streets..20,000+ people walking around with tons of glass falling/debris everywhere/glass all in the street...metal all over the place..things had fell..cars were smashed..tons of alarms going off..it was a nightmare..It took Michael and I an hour to find our truck..praying that it wasn't demolished..it took us an hour b/c all the street signs had been swung out of place..and were backwards..when we finally got in the truck..we were both just shocked..we made it back to the hotel.it was 2am..I slept terrible that night..I kept thinking another one was going to come..at this point we had no idea when the game was moved to, if we were going to be able to get in..and what time..we kept waking up watching espn trying to get an idea..Keith Poole called us at 9:30am and said the game has been moved to 12..we got up and got ready real quick, when we got to Georgia Tech.they announced that only friends and family could get in..if you were on a list..which we weren't..haha..there was about 200+ people out there and everyone was freaking out..i mean people had paid for a hotel, gas, food..and not to mention the tickets..and now they are being told they can't go in!!So luckily this sweet lady from UK's administration snuck over and discretely handed Michael and I 2 tickets..we RAN in that building..when we got inside there was about 1000 people in there..we sat 8 rows from the floor with most of the players families..it was nuts..the game was crazy..so intense..one of the player;s mom behind me said I have yet to have a nervous break down since last night..but it's fixing to happen..right here in Atlanta..haha I felt the same way .. I just wanted to be home..I'm sure there is some I am leaving out..but that's the jist of it..I just kept thinking if it's our time to go Lord..atleast we are going to Heaven together ;) Let's just say we are looking real forward to our Destin Trip in May..better not be any Hurricanes!! Someone asked was there anything good about the trip? 2 good things..I ate at O'Charley's and Cracker Barrel..that's it haha..Thanks for all the phone calls/ text msgs from everyone..it was nice to know everyone was worried about us..plus it kept our minds off what was really going on!! We can't wait to see everyone for Easter! oh and as of now I have nothing bad to say about the SEC..unless they do not refund our tickets that we were told were no good..I do feel like they were very unorganized..and need to plan incase of emergency's..

Some Pics from the Weekend...

Here are some pictures I have found of things we walked by Friday night...what a disaster...The middle one is inside the dome when the tornado was going by..

Winter is Gone..Spring is Here!

Hey guys..well Friday/Saturday we got 13 inches of snow!! It was soo beautiful..but now it's gone thank goodness..who knew 13 inches could melt that fast!! Today it is sunny and gorgeous, thankfully at my new job I can wear flip-flops..so I will definetly be taking advantage of that!! Saturday Michael, Max, and I got out in the snow and played, it was so much fun!! Our neigbors thought we were crazy..they were all cleaning their cars off and we were acting like 4 year olds!! We decided we had no where to go, so we stayed snowed in all day! It was great! This weekend Michael and I are heading to Atlanta,GA for the SEC Tournament, to root on the KY Wildcats!! We are so excited..it will be a nice getaway!! I will post about that when we return..for now enjoy the pictures of the snow..and we will see everyone in 9 DAYS!!!

Good Times, Good Times

So, we have almost lived in Louisville for 3 years now..and can I tell you we have the greatest friends ever?? It's amazing how God works things out, he brought together our "soul group". This is just 1/4 of our Sunday school class, we meet every other Saturday. Some of you probably always hear me talking about someone that is in the group. We have other friends outside this group as well, but we have made many friends for life in this group. We went to Disney last year with Thom and Lesley Scott..these guys are great..Thom is the one who Michael works with and helped him get the job at American Scale! We try and go out and eat together once a week, or sometimes just hang out at each others house..we are very casual people haha. It's so great to have other Christian couples to battle life together! It's been so great watching all the couples grow in Christ and their family's grow. When we all started almost 2 years ago, no one had children..and now we have almost 6 kids in our group!! Josh and Diana Oedy, have Miss Lana who just turned 1!! These guys are great!!Most of the time I am around Diana we are laughing..we are to much alike..Ben and Kelly Glupker and Baby Owen..are the couple that I work with, they are so sweet and funny and great to work with ;), and they have the cutest son, they are always uplifting! I also love the name they chose for him John Owen..how cute? Barry and Courtney Chesney and Baby Broc, are so great to be around, they are very encouraging! And , Broc is a lil' cutie as well! There are others in our group, but these are the ones who have made it the 2 years..It's been great. And what makes us so great? We have all moved here to Louisville, Ky. b/c of God's will..none of us are from here and none of us have family here..it's amazing how God works.
So, sorry so much but I was just so happy about the friends we have that I wanted to let everyone know.

MotoCross @ Indy!

Last night, Michael,Jordan and I traveled to Indy to experience our 3rd annual trip to MotoCross. It was so much fun! Chad Reed dominated the race!We saw alot of wrecks..that's always exciting. It amazes me how high the racers can get in the air!! So that was the excitement of our weekend. This month is going to be a busy one. We are heading home Easter weekend and we can't wait!
