13 inches of snow..tornado..all in a week..

I really have no words to describe the feelings I have about this past weekend..I have never been so scared/mad/devastated/confused/upset all at one time. We were having the best time until we heard a sound like people were stomping on the bleachers..it kept getting louder and louder..that is when we realized there are NO bleachers in the Georgia dome..then chaos hit..the roof of the dome started whip ling like it was going to come off..some of the walls blew out and debris from outside starting blowing in..and then the speakers and TVs that were hanging above everyone begin to move very rapidly back and forth..that is when Michael grabbed my hand..he thought the stuff was going to fall..did I mention how loud the sound was?? It was like a freight train was going over the dome..at 135 mph..we had NO warning of a tornado..everyone just stood there..no one knew what to do..we couldn't get out of there b/c so many people were standing in the aisles..it was a complete mess..that's when the announcer came on and told us severe weather is going through downtown Atlanta..to relax and stay calm..cell phones were out for about 30 mins. after the tornado had passed b/c of so many calls going in and out..it wasn't until we talked to everyone that we found out it was a tornado!!!! They wouldn't let us out of the dome until everything was done, we then got more calls that another storm was moving through in about 40 mins..people were surprisingly calm..i think everyone was in shock..if only we knew what outside looked like..it might have freaked more people out..we were there for about 2 hours when they decided to postpone the Ky game..and oh yeah you have 15 mins to get out...When we walked out of the building..it was like a bomb had went off in the streets..20,000+ people walking around with tons of glass falling/debris everywhere/glass all in the street...metal all over the place..things had fell..cars were smashed..tons of alarms going off..it was a nightmare..It took Michael and I an hour to find our truck..praying that it wasn't demolished..it took us an hour b/c all the street signs had been swung out of place..and were backwards..when we finally got in the truck..we were both just shocked..we made it back to the hotel.it was 2am..I slept terrible that night..I kept thinking another one was going to come..at this point we had no idea when the game was moved to, if we were going to be able to get in..and what time..we kept waking up watching espn trying to get an idea..Keith Poole called us at 9:30am and said the game has been moved to 12..we got up and got ready real quick, when we got to Georgia Tech.they announced that only friends and family could get in..if you were on a list..which we weren't..haha..there was about 200+ people out there and everyone was freaking out..i mean people had paid for a hotel, gas, food..and not to mention the tickets..and now they are being told they can't go in!!So luckily this sweet lady from UK's administration snuck over and discretely handed Michael and I 2 tickets..we RAN in that building..when we got inside there was about 1000 people in there..we sat 8 rows from the floor with most of the players families..it was nuts..the game was crazy..so intense..one of the player;s mom behind me said I have yet to have a nervous break down since last night..but it's fixing to happen..right here in Atlanta..haha I felt the same way .. I just wanted to be home..I'm sure there is some I am leaving out..but that's the jist of it..I just kept thinking if it's our time to go Lord..atleast we are going to Heaven together ;) Let's just say we are looking real forward to our Destin Trip in May..better not be any Hurricanes!! Someone asked was there anything good about the trip? 2 good things..I ate at O'Charley's and Cracker Barrel..that's it haha..Thanks for all the phone calls/ text msgs from everyone..it was nice to know everyone was worried about us..plus it kept our minds off what was really going on!! We can't wait to see everyone for Easter! oh and as of now I have nothing bad to say about the SEC..unless they do not refund our tickets that we were told were no good..I do feel like they were very unorganized..and need to plan incase of emergency's..
