While I was working at the table..the boys thought it was funny to sit under the table..

Jack Murphy has got a new name lately..Mr.Independent. He wants it his way..or no way. I however have a slogan for him.."It's Mom way..or no way". HA! So, we have stumbled(literally), upon this new phase of life. We will get through it right?? If Mommy wants Jack to sit in the grocery cart..Jack wants to wiggle, try his hardest to turn around and stand up,or screams. If Mommy wants Jack to sit down in his car seat so I can buckle him in, Jack wants to stand up as straight as he can and make his legs as strong as he can hold them so he won't have to sit down. If Mommy gives Jack some food to eat because it's good for his body, if Jack doesn't want it he feeds it (very quietly) to Max. If Mommy wants Jack to sit in the stroller, Jack wants to scream or wiggle to get out. So,whats a Mom to do..get mad? angry? vow never to have another child? ;) I will admit I've cried out for patience from God..and obviously he's showing me how to develop it. So, when Jack wants out of the grocery cart..I start playing a game of where's your head,eyes,ears..If Jack wants to stand up in the car seat..I ask him to show me where the buckle is and how to do it..If Jack doesn't want to eat the food on his plate..I pull out the ol' airplane trick...who wouldn't fall for the airplane spoon coming in for a landing?..I hope it doens't sound like Jack gets his way b/c he doesn't. If all of the above fail..Jack gets a little pep talk and a spanking. I also have to tell myself if I just figured out how to walk and how things are working..I would want to! So, I'm not saying Jack is a bad kid (he's just like his dad) I mean..he's just a 15 month old trying to gain some independence..and he's very,very curious about EVERYTHING! We are having so much fun with him, he keeps us laughing! Who needs a TV anymore when you have a 15 month old? I can say we are ready for Spring/Summer!! How many days is it until our trip to Destin??? My feet are ready to hit the sand..Enjoy these new pics of Jack Murphy..aka Mr.Independent.
