Bubbles & Laughs

Since I felt a little better today..I decided to add some pictures from this week. I broke out the bubbles this week and Jack & Eli loved it! They were so serious about the bubbles, that I couldn't get any smiles out of them! Oh well, they enjoyed it! In this picture Jack is thinking..seriously mom why do you think this is so fun? haha

Jack loves hanging out in the jumper and his Baby Einstein thingy (I have no idea what it's called)

And here is a cute video of Jack laughing( sorry the angle is so funny, if Jack sees the camera he will just stare at it)..a warning to those Paducah folks who haven't seen Jack in a while..it will really make you miss him ;) Only 21 days until we are there ;) It's suppose to warm up next week so hopefully we can get outside!! Enjoy!

The Plague..

This week has been one of those weeks that you just want to get over and forget about..I've been getting sicker as the week has gone on..and now I have a full blown sinus infection. I hate sinuses..isn't there a surgery to get rid of them? Anyways..not only that but Jack is full blown teething ( I think the term full blown is kinda funny. Maybe I'm on to many medicines??) He has been super cranky, running a low fever, and crying/whining all week! Thank goodness he's been great today! Mostly we have laid in the floor on a big blanket, because I have no energy to do anything else..OK so enough about the plague. I wasn't going to blog today until I got on and read a story on another blog that I keep up with. As I read the blog it just reminded me that God is in control. He is the "remote control" in life. It's crazy sometimes things he does in our life to make us think or to get us to where we are today. I encourage you to go read this blog www.mylesandbrandi.blogspot.com and read their story. I went to high school with both of them, and I remember when they started dating Myles is one of the funniest people I've ever met. Read Brandi's story, and remember that God is in control, He loves us, and He's always there. Thanks Brandi for your story, you and Myles are such an encouragement to my life.

Weekend At The Murphy's

This weekend was so nice and relaxing! Friday night we went to the Oedy's for Miss Lana's 2nd birthday party! It was a great time! We got to reunite with our old soul group (minus the Chesney's-yall were missed!). And eat pizza and have fun! We ended up staying at their house til' almost midnight! On Saturday we tried to do as little as we could, we watched the UK game..
Jack loves his little bear/blanket...
I bought Jack these little windpants at the Children's Place.they are just a tad to big but soo cute! And UK blue!

Watching the game..(yes, Michael's beard is out of control!)

On Sundays I lead the Xtreme Preschool downstairs, this is made up of 3/4/5 year olds..we are running between 40-50 kids each week,we are having such a good time down there!
This is Jack in his Sunday outfit..it's hard to believe he is 4 months old! He just keeps doing more and more each day! He wants to sit up so bad, but just can't quite figure it out yet!!

Those brown eyes are so cute ;) Enjoy!

Jack & Eli

Wow! What a fun week Jack and I have had with our friend, Eli! Lesley asked me tonight at dinner if I thought having a 4 month old and a 14 month old would be harder or easier than what it was..I told her it was Easier than I was thinking!! I know we are going to have our rough days, but it's still so much fun! Even Max is having a good time ;) Here is a few pictures I've taken the past couple days of the boys..this is Eli's favorite toy at my house..the BOX! Michael had to get new boots for work and he was going to throw away the box..I was like NOO that's 30 minutes of something to play with..and sure enough..every morning Eli goes straight to the box..
Here is Jack-in-the-box haha..with Eli..

Eli is so sweet to Jack..and very gentle with him..while Jack was playing in the tunnel Eli wanted to give him "hugs"..

And here they are best buds forever..

How fun!!! I can't wait for Spring so we can get outside and explore!! I'm so thankful for Thom and Lesley letting me spend time with their sweet boy! I'm also thankful for a church that makes adoption such a priority! I can't wait for God to let us know the time is right so that we can adopt a child!!
I want to end this post by putting a part of an email that a dear, sweet friend of mine sent today..even though she is going through something terrible right now, she is praising God and thinking of others..
.... I wanted to share something I read yesterday that really encouraged me. I know each of you are probably going through different circumstances in your life and I hope this encourages you as well!
"I am with you. These four words are like a safety net, protecting you from falling into despair. Because you are human, you will always have ups and downs in your life experience. But the promise of My Presence limits how far down you can go. Sometimes you may feel as if you are in a free fall, when people or things you had counted on let you down. Yet as soon as you remember that I am with you, your perspective changes radically. Instead of bemoaning your circumstances, you can look to Me for help. You recall that not only am I with you, I am holding you by your right hand. I guide you with My counsel, and afterward I will take you into Glory. This is exactly the perspective you need: the reassurance of My Presence, and the glorious hope of heaven. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

God is so Good!! Enjoy your day!

Major Update ;)

Well this week has just been crammed full with loads of fun stuff ;) First we will start with our first solid foods..rice cereal..yummy huh? Jack is loving the solid foods..lately he has been extra hungry and so the Dr. suggested to go ahead and start him on some cereal...

He actually really enjoys it and he is doing great eating with a big boy spoon ;)

Next we had Valentines Day..we really didn't do anything that awesome..I cooked us up some Chicken Cordon Bleu..and we watched Fireproof..which is an awesome movie if you were wondering..I recommend it to anyone thinking about getting married or is married..

Thanks to Jack's MiMi Murphy..we had a cute onesie that said "Heartbreaker"..he is def. going to be one of those!!
Next on Sunday I went to the movies with Brittany and her friend Carla..while I was gone Michael and Jordan watched the Daytona 500 and babysat for some reason it was a "milestone" according to them for Jack..so Michael took pics of Jack's first Daytona 500...

Before the race...

15 minutes into the race...;)Today we had Jack's 4 month old check-up, and his 4 mo shots. He took the shots like a champ! His weight has increased to 15 1/2 pounds..and his length is now at 25 inches..we are growing so fast! The Dr. also told us to go ahead and start adding some baby food to Jack's diet..I just wanted to cry..is he seriously getting that old? Jack had a great Dr.'s visit and the next time we go he will be 6 months!! After that we headed to the mall with our buds Lesley and Eli Scott..Eli will be making his big debut with us tomorrow, he will be with us every Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday! Life is going to be interesting with a 4 month old and a 14 month old ;) I can't wait though!! So for now this is all that is happening with the Murphy's..I still have to post about Parent/Child Dedication..that will be for another day ;) Enjoy!

16 Weeks Old...

It's so hard to believe that Jack is fixing to be 4 months old! I just want him to stop growing!! We had a very busy weekend! My Grand-parents, Great-Grandmother, Mom, Step-Dad, and Sister, all came up to Louisville to visit this weekend! They came up to see Michael and I dedicate Jack at church..I will post about that later when my Grandmother (hint, hint) sends me her pictures ;)..It was so nice to see them, and of course Jack showed off for them! When I was pregnant I kept imagining what Jack would look like..I didn't have any clue that he would be this adorable! Michael and I just grow more in love with him every day! Yesterday Jack and I went for a hour long walk..he loved it! Today we decided to have a little photo shoot, yes we were a tad bored..I'm hoping to get some professional photos done, but right now I don't want to spend the money ;) Jack goes on Monday to get his 4 month shots! Then next Tuesday, Eli Scott will be coming to hang out with us on Tues,Wed, and Thurs! It's going to be alot of fun! Enjoy the warm weather..

We miss Daddy!

This past week Michael had to go out of town for work! He didn't know he had to go until last Saturday night, then he left on Monday!I was very sad that he had to leave for a week, but I figured it would be fun to just hang out with Jack! We had a fun week and did lots of organizing and cleaning out..and maybe painted the bathroom haha! At night Jack, Max and I would lay in bed and watch TV..it was a good week, but it was very hard doing everything by myself! We were all happy to see Daddy walk through the door tonight! I just want to thank all of my friends up here in Louisville, for checking up on me, and making sure I was okay! Yall are the best! I really thought I would do better at being alone that what I did! It was def. hard with Michael gone! I think Jack had like 20 hats so I decided to go through them so I can store the ones he can't wear..we had fun with this, I think Jack looks like an elf in some of these..

Then we had lots of fun taking baths...

Ok so maybe not...however..he did like when Uncle Jordan babysit while I ran some errands today...

He's so funny! His personality is just starting to shine through! He does throw his occasional fits..now we are turning red and kicking our legs as we throw a fit ;) We are looking forward to some visitors tomorrow! On Sunday we have parent/child dedication at church..I will blog more about that later..it's going to be a great weekend! Enjoy!

We are rolling...

This is kinda a lazy roll-over, but I think it's cute b/c he watches the camera the whole time! He wanted to make sure Mom was watching! Jack started rolling over today, and it's so cute! He thinks it's the coolest thing! I guess next is crawling!! NOOOO! haha..He's growing up way to fast. Here's a cute picture also in his Bumbo seat today!
