My Old Kentucky Home

"So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord" 2Cor.5:6-8

After 6 1/2 years of reminding myself that I my home is not here on earth..and praying for God's provision as we decided if Paducah or Louisville was where God wanted us here on earth..we finally felt God led us to Louisville forever. So, we bought a house! I feel like the biggest burden has been lifted off of me..we went back & forth so many times..wondering where we should live..and now it's final. I will always love Paducah..I will always miss my family..but Louisville is home for us. It's where we have become a family..and we have the dearest friends here. If I had to leave them behind right now..I think my heart would break. So..meet my Old Kentucky Home..

Kitchen..

Boy's room..
Where I will hang our stockings..oh happy day!

Where we will spend our summer..our very own pool!!

We hope to be in our home by November..(just in time for Thanksgiving!!)

"Lord, we are longing for the feeling of Home. No matter what location you have us in here on earth it will never satisfy our deepest need for belonging, because we belong in your presence in Heaven."
